संपादक आणि उपसंपादक यांचा शुभविवाह... !

पुण्यातील एका प्रतिथयश वृत्तपत्रातील संपादक पदावर काम करण-या तरुणाचा विवाह त्याच संस्थेतील एका उपसंपादक तरुणीशी होणार असल्याचे समजते। या बाबत आधिक माहिती अशी की, सदर संपादक हा त्या प्रतिथयश वृत्तपत्रात पुणे विषयक पुरवणीचा संपादक आहे। त्याच पुरवणीसाठी ती उपसंपदिका काम करीत आहे। येत्या वर्षाअखेरीस संपादक ज्या नेटिव स्टेटचे आहेत, त्या राज्यात हा विवाह होणार असून, नुकतीच त्यांची एंगेजमेंट झाली असल्याचे समजते.या जोडाप्याच्या भावी आयुष्यात अनेक आनंदाचे दिवस यावेत, अशी सर्व पत्रकार बंधू भागिनिच्या वतीने इश्वर चरणी प्रार्थना. आणि या जोडप्याला अनेको शुभेच्छा !

डोक्याची मंडई तर्फे सुद्धा अनंत शुभेच्छा !

कोकनात्ल्या एक मराठी नेत्याचा, मराठी पेपर पुण्यात येतोय, अशी चर्चा सध्या पुणे पत्रकारिता फिल्ड मधे जोरदार रंगात ए बाप्पा । या पेपर मधे जॉबसाठी बरेच लोक 'फिल्डिंग' करत आहेत.

मुंबई मधे जम बसल्यावर या मराठी दैनिकाने पुण्याची वाट धरली आहे। रिसेशन अन खुंटलेली पगार वाढ, या कारणने थोडेसे नाराजीत असलेले पुणेरी पत्रकार् या नवीन पर्यायाने प्रसन्न आहेत.


पुणे पत्रकारितेतिल काही बड्या पत्रकारांची नावे या दैनिकाच्या वरिष्ट पदासाठी चर्चेत आहेत। त्यात विदर्भाच्या दिशेला जाऊ पाहणारे, ए़क जेष्ट पत्रकार यांचे नाव अग्रणी आहे। ते ज्या संस्थेत होते / आहेत, त्याच संस्थेतील एका नेता- कम- पत्रकाराचे नवाही या नवीन वृत्तपत्राच्या टीम मधे आहे.

हा पेपर येवो न येवो, एका (किमान) बड्या पेपरच्या पत्रकाराचा या हवेनेच फायदा झाला असे समजते ! " तिकडे... जातो॥ जातो॥ " म्हणत या पत्रकाराने पगार वाढ करून घेतल्याची हवा आहे। सगळ्यावर कड़ी म्हणजे, इंग्रजी दैनिकातील काही लोकही या पर्ययाचा विचार करत असल्याची चर्चा आहे।

सावरकर भवनचा वापर विद्यार्थी वर्गासाठी ?

पुणे पत्रकारामाधे वादाग्रस्ता ब्लॉग शिवाय आणि एका विषयाची चर्चा आहे। ते म्हणजे सावरकर भवन येथील ( जुने पत्रकार भवन)

या जागेचा वापर विधायाक कामासाठी केला जावा याबाबत पत्रकार बांधवांच्या भावना तीव्र आहेत। या भावना लक्षात घेउन ए़क विधायक कल्पना पुढे आली आहे। त्यात विद्यार्थी आणि भावी पत्रकार यांचे इंटेरेस्ट 'क्लब' होऊ शकतात.

पुणे येथे बाहेर गावावरून येणार्‍या विद्यार्थी वर्गाची संख्या मोठी आहे। पत्रकारितेत करियर घडवण्यासाठी येणारे तरुण लोक पण आहेत। यातील काही लोक हे आर्थिक दृष्ट्या कमकुवत असतात। त्यांच्यासाठी पुण्यात राहणे एक मोठी समस्या आहे। या विद्यार्थ्यांसाठी भवनचा वापर केला जाउ शकतो। एखाद्या दोन विद्यार्थ्यांना या जागेत राहण्याची सोय करता येणे शक्या आहे का हे तपासून पाहता येऊ शकते। नाहीत तर विद्यार्थ्यांसाठी अभ्यासिका म्हणून या जागेचा वापर केला जाउ शकतो. त्यासाठी गरजू मुले कशी निवडावी याचे निकष पण ठरवता येऊ . हवे तर विद्यार्थ्याकडून नाममात्र शुल्क ही आकारता येऊ शकते।

तानाजी खोत अपघातग्रस्त

माहीतीसाठी।

आपले एक सहकारी तानाजी खोत सध्या अपघातग्रस्त असल्याने ते सिंहगड रोड (तानाजी मालुसरे रास्ता )येथील एका रुग्णालयात उपचार घेत आहेत. गेल्या आठवाड्यात याच रस्त्यावर खोत हे अपघातग्रस्त झाले होते।

आपण त्यांची प्रकृति लवकरात लवकर बरी व्हावी यासाठी प्रार्थना करुयात।

Mandai gets positive and sporting responses

Appreciating the work of by Doyachi Mandai, the journo-blogger in question for allegedly causing hurt to other journalist has replied back through an email and has clarified few things on mandai's first post. The sender however did not specify further on whether the mail is to be published or not in Mandai.

Under such circumstances, the dokyachi mandai reserve the right to publish the said email content. At present, We feel the matter now is under probe by one member committee and publishing the contents of email may affect decision making on either party.

Publishing his reply may also reveal blogger’s identity (though we assume that it is already in public domain). And therefore we have withhold his reply for the time being. Yet, if the journo-blogger in question persists on publishing his email contents, the dokyachi mandai will do it.

In either case, the dokyachi mandai is thankful for appreciating the efforts of this blog. We are overwhelmed by the flood of visits from fraternity.

Lets pray the good work started by Mandai will achieve new heights without hurting or causing any nuisance to anyone.

Story of Journalist: Next Night

Minu: Momma, the story you told me yesterday was interesting. Now I want to listen what happened next; what happened to that journo-blogger. Did he face sacking ?

Mother: No minu. The general body discussed the issue.

Amidst ruckus, few emotion-laden members demanded immediate action against journo-blogger while some sought a thorough procedure prior to any step. They wanted both sides to be heard by probing committee.

A caution ran through: Any action on the journo-blogger will set a precedent, thus becoming case-law in itself.

Those who were hurt kept pressing for action. Angry words were hurled.

Another view came: Even if the journo-blogger has crossed his limits, there is no reason that union too follow his suit. The union should rather proceed on the matter legally.

The journalists union chairman carefully listened all the views.

Finally, he announced: “A committee set up to probe the matter has been asked to submit its report in 10-days. Till then the members should restrain”.

This satisfied everyone. The GB was dissolved. Everyone came out of the hall, happily.

meanwhile, narrating the story, minu's mother again sensed that her little daughter is already in slumber.

OPENION:
1. The elected body's stand is welcome.
2. The body has not just adopted a mature stand by giving both sides an opportunity to put their views, but has also appreciated and suppported the hurt feelings of members.
3. Even the decision of withdrawing hunger strike by agrivated journalist is welcome.
4. The maturity shown by journalists body as well as members has set a good precedent for days ahead to come.

WHEN JOURNALIST BECOMES THE STORY…

The city is to go in deep slumber while minu is still awake. Her mother, after trying all options, has resorted to the last one - narrate minu the story of storyteller - so that this little girl will go to sleep.

Dokyachi Mandai brings you the first person account of how minu’s mother narrated her daughter the story.

Mother: (…) There used to be an ancient city called Pune. Like any other major city, the mighty press and mightier journalists were an integral part of that city.

With all understanding, Journalists through all their resources never missed any story; only till they fell for the one written on them.

The story was about a blog.

Minu: But what is blog, momma ?

Mother: The blog is new medium on internet where one can express himself


Mother: (…) This blog used to bring out exclusives on the fraternity. More often the tone of blog was critic.


Journalists wondered – who is writing this blog ?. They went into huddle to search possible bloggers who can write such way. Late night parties held to discuss the hot issue. But in vain.

Little later, a mighty organization decided to approach the police to find out who the blogger is. Police swung into action. They zeroed on one journalist. The Journalist owned the content of blog and apologized to mighty press for causing any hurt (un)intentionally.

But matter refused to rest.

A day later, another Journalist complained of being defamed by journo-blogger’s act. Hurt Journalist approached to their union and sought justice. His demand for justice was to terminate the journo-blogger’s membership. He also threatened to go on fast unto-death.

The matter became more complex. Clueless on how to proceed, the elected body of Journalists union met 72-hours prior to the general body meet when the matter was to be discussed.
The elected body was divided over whom to support. Supporting the ‘hurt’ would mean assassinating the freedom of expression and standing by the journo-blogger would have angered those who controlled the union for years.

After long deliberations, one-man-committee was set up to probe the matter. The committee was headed by a lawyer.

While narrating the story, Minu’s mother sensed that Minu is no longer awake. Under relief for being escaped from story narration, she decided to keep rest of the part for next day.
